About Us

From its earliest days, America has drawn people from around the world as a true melting pot of cultures and languages. These foreigners came with the ultimate intentions of becoming American citizens. Their common language, of course, would eventually be English.

In recent years we have seen an increasing influx of foreigners who have come to our shores, but instead of integrating into our society and cultures they have remained isolated in culture and language. As Christians, we must ask ourselves “What are we doing to reach these people with the Gospel?”

Although we would like to invite these people to our churches or hand them some literature in English, the fact remains that their culture and language is a huge barrier to us. What do we say to them? How can we communicate when many of them know so little English? How do we get past those cultural barriers? How can we build a relationship with them?

Some churches are offering ESL (English as a Second Language) classes. Others have developed outreach and ministry to specific people groups. All of those approaches are good.

The Samaritan Foundation is now making available an additional tool which any Christian can easily use. It is a book called, “The Life of Jesus”, available now in Arabic, Urdu, Hindi, Chinese, Spanish and English. We hope to print in a variety of languages as funds are available. “The Life of Jesus” is the four Gospels – Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, arranged and compiled into one sequential story using only the scriptures. It is not a modern paraphrase, but rather an accurate translation provided by WBTC, World Bible Translation Center, which is a subsidiary of the Bible League International. The vocabulary is simple and ideal for those who have never before read the Bible.
